Unowa and Yainvest: From schools to the prosperous future, we take action to foster Financial Inclusion in Emerging Markets
LISBON/BAAR/ASTANA – We are excited to announce a new collaboration between Yainvest, a leading innovator in applied behavioral finance technologies for wealth management, and Unowa, a recognized provider of inclusive educational solutions. Together, we are launching new inclusive educational courses that will teach Swiss wealth management know-how in primary schools in developing markets.
According to OECD/INFE 2023 International Survey of Adult Financial Literacy, the level of financial literacy in developing countries is significantly lower than in developed countries. Higher financial literacy is associated with greater individual financial well-being. This gap in financial literacy hampers personal financial management skills, economic development, and quality of life.
As part of this groundbreaking partnership, we will launch two digital courses to tackle the low levels of financial literacy for middle and primary school students across developing countries. The first course will focus on mathematics, adhering to the esteemed Swiss educational standards known for their exceptional quality and effectiveness. The second course will concentrate on enhancing financial literacy and wealth management, equipping young minds with essential knowledge and skills to secure their financial well-being. Our innovative approach combines expertise in behavioral finance with advanced educational methodologies, ensuring that even the most complex concepts are presented in an accessible and comprehensible manner for children.
Enrico De Giorgi, Co-founder and Member of the Board of Directors of Yainvest: “Lack of financial knowledge can result in poor decisions that impede financial growth, stability, and overall well-being. We provide young individuals in emerging markets with access to the advanced financial knowledge used by the wealthy in Switzerland, empowering them to create and manage their prosperity. Our goal is to offer inclusive financial education, serving as a foundation for economic advancement and long-term life well-being.“
Mikhailo Kalitkin, Partner and Chief Product Officer at UNOWA: “The secondary education system is quite conservative, which implies long cycles of innovation. Only modern, practice-based knowledge can be organically and swiftly incorporated into the educational standards of various countries. I am confident that new courses in mathematics and financial literacy will address the issue faced by our generation – “the inability to manage finances competently” – and equip future generations with the most advanced practical knowledge available today.”
